Together we will learn the cycles that make us stuck and afraid – and together we will break them.
EMDR helps people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
For short-term and solution-focused therapy goals.
The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM).
I am able to provide LPC supervision to those who are seeking to build supervision hours.
EMDR helps people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
I have over 14 years of experience providing therapy services to individuals, groups, and families. My ideal client is looking for therapy for the first time, or has come up short in traditional talk therapies and is looking for something new. My typical client experiences challenges of feeling unheard and unseen, stuck in ways of thinking and reacting, and ready to explore the question – “What has happened to me?” in a society that demands “What is wrong with you?” My ideal client is looking for relief of the effects of childhood emotional abuse and/or neglect, sexual abuse, racism, misogyny, homophobia and/or transphobia, so that they may become better to themselves, their partners and their loved ones.
My first goal as a counselor is to provide a space of acceptance and safety. I am a witness to your story and can bring new light and understanding to questions you are longing to answer or conflicts you are seeking to resolve.
I believe that those "surprise" emotional moments that we can't quite understand -whether it's a shut-down response, panic, rage, fear of abandonment - are all connected to unresolved emotions and experiences in childhood. Without fully healing our child selves, we cannot be fully "awake" and engaged in the world as our best adult selves.

“Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders…” read all the details here.
I began my training in EMDR in 2019, and became certified in 2021. I pursued this training after hearing so many positive experiences from clients whom had previously received treatment for childhood trauma. Becoming an EMDR-certified practitioner and finding ways to integrate IFS (Internal Family Systems) has impacted my practice, my role as a therapist, and my understanding of your brain’s resilience in significant ways. I am also a Consultant In Training (CIT) and can provide consultation hours for clinicians seeking EMDR certification.
My areas of specialization for short-term therapy include:
Life transitions
Providing support while you adjust to life’s many changes such as coping with work or school-related stress, the challenges of becoming a parent, barriers to decision making and goal-setting.
Anxiety and mood problems
Assisting you in learning new strategies to cope with and manage symptoms, while also identifying root issues.
Recent negative or traumatic event
Addressing a recent incident that is creating difficulties in functioning, such as heightened anxiety, depressed mood, or PTSD symptoms.
I am trained in Level I of The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music; I believe in the power of music and imagery to heal our innermost pain and longing. I will be the guide of you, the traveler, as you explore meaning and experience insights beyond our thinking, judging, and analyzing brains. Learn more here.
Learning and growing as a clinician should be an ongoing part of any therapist’s career path. I have several years of experience providing supervision to counselors and music therapists, and am able to provide LPC supervision to those who are seeking to build supervision hours. My work experience includes inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient therapy clinics, school settings, long-term residentials, and more. I have experience working with clients of all ages, from age 3 to 90, with various mental health needs, including intellectual disability and chronic mental illness.
My supervision style is strength-based and person-centered; I believe you have a wealth of education, experience, and compassion that has brought you this far, and I am a source of support and guidance as you continue to develop your clinical voice.
Please reach out if you have more questions about supervision, including cost and availability for group supervision.
